Reserve Roussanne 2024
Lost Oak Winery

Roussanne (rue-san) is originally from the Rhone region in France. Unlike other white grape varietals, Roussanne berries tend to have a brownish hue when ripe. Roussanne tends to be a fuller-bodied white wine, making it a natural choice for barrel fermenting and aging. This process gives the wine a more subtle flavor and incorporates vanilla and spice flavors.
The influence of the oak fermentation and aging is evident in the color of the 2024 Roussanne Reserve. Swirling reveals clinging legs and unleashes intense aromas of vanilla, white tea, butter, and yellow peach. Vanilla and peach carry over to the palate along with Meyer lemon and Bartlett pear. The finish is silky smooth and coats the mouth in waves of decadence. Sip slowly and savor this remarkable wine.
Pair with whipped feta and roasted tomato dip, prosciutto and fig flatbread, cedar plank tuna steak with grilled root vegetables, marinated portobello mushroom burgers, tortellini sausage and kale soup, and candied Meyer lemon vanilla ice cream
