Les Copains Red 2017
Les Copains, meaning “the friends” in French, is a series of blends using only Rhone Valley varieties grown on the Texas High Plains. For this red blend, we use Mourvèdre, Carignan, Cinsault, Counoise, and Syrah, fermented in stainless steel and aged in oak for a few months to accent but not cover up the character of each grape. It is dry and smooth with aromas and flavors of dark cherry, plum, and berries and can be enjoyed by itself or with a wide range of foods.
Mourvèdre 31%, Carignan 31%, Cinsault 16%, Counoise 13%, Syrah 19%
