Cabernet Sauvignon is one of the world's most popular grapes. Its versatility allows it to express different flavor profiles depending on where it grows. Texas Cabernet Sauvignon tends to be more fruit-forward, expressing less minerality and terroir than those from other growing regions. This Cabernet has a deep brick color. The aromas of ripe cherries, cocoa, spice, and toasted marshmallows fade into a cigar-box undercurrent. On the palate, the wine surprises your taste buds with a burst of ripe raspberry, cherry compote, and espresso, and finishes with oaky tannins.
