IFB White 2018

The wines of Italy are seldom called out by their varietal name, but more specifically, the wine-growing regions of Italy are synonymous with certain varieties. Thus if you know your region, you know your varietal. Here in the High Plains of Wet texas, it is difficult to find a grape variety with such a name and stature. Thus we rely on the acronym IFB. This stands for Italian Field Blend - Trebbiano, Pinot Gris, and Muscat. These varietals are the heart and soul of all parts of Italy - North, south, and in between. Wonderful varietals lend themselves to making wines with racy acidity and tropical fruit characters. IFB has all of these attributes and more. Certainly, it is unique, but once you get to know it, you will agree. Bravissimo!
Tribbiano 65%, Pinot Gris 25%, and Muscat 10%
