Deep ruby with a magenta rim variation. Initially earthen with aromas of wet soil and coffee rounded out by fruit complexities of tart red cherries, brambleberry, and non-fruit aromas of sage and vanilla. Bold on the palate with silken tannin structure. Flavors of dark red fruits such as stewed blackberries with hints of lavender and lilac. Pair this with a fine hand-made cigar, veal, or beef tenderloin. A fantastic selection for both grilling and sipping.
